Luxury, Romantic and Boutique Accommodation in Port Campbell
The Twelve Apostles are within easy reach with a Port Campbell getaway
The Great Ocean Road is home to a list of natural wonders longer than your arm, but the famous Twelve Apostles is contender for the most famous. To see these this set of limestone stacks, Port Campbell is a perfect jumping-off point. It is only a 10-minute drive from town to the Visitor Facility, so you can get in early to beat the crowds or time your visit for later in the day once you've woken up late, sipped coffee on the balcony of your Port Campbell accommodation and explored the tree-lined main street.
While its proximity to the Twelve Apostles is certainly an advantage, there are plenty of other reasons to stop at Port Campbell as you make your way along the Great Ocean Road. Swimming, surfing, fishing, diving and hiking are all on offer during your stay in this vibrant seaside village. Port Campbell Bay is located smack-bang in the middle of town and has a soft sandy beach, calm water and a jetty. A set of steps at one end of the beach lead up to the Discovery Walk, a path that wraps around the clifftop.
For more breathtaking coastal scenery, Port Campbell National Park covers 1750 hectares and is home to a dramatic landscape of sheer cliffs, rock formations, gorges, arches and blowholes. Once you’ve snapped some photos at the Twelve Apostles, check out other well-known sites such as the London Arch, Loch Ard Gorge, Gibson Steps, Tom and Eva Lookout, The Razorback and The Grotto.
Foodies are also well looked after in Port Campbell, with the 12 Apostles Gourmet Trail serving up the best of local wine, whisky, cheese, chocolates, ice cream and fresh produce. Follow the 70km loop to collect lots of delicious goodies to enjoy back at your luxury Port Campbell accommodation.
