Perched just 38 steps above the pristine white sands of Boat Harbour Beach, architect designed Paradise House is planted right on the shores of Tasmania’s beautiful northwest corner.
On entering, before you even notice the stylish interiors, you’ll be blown away by the breathtaking ocean views. As you take in the spectacular surrounds, keep an eye out for dolphins swimming into the bay. Boat Harbour Beach is an unspoiled natural wonder, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, surfing or simply putting a towel down and basking in the sun, and it’s just beyond your front door.
Inside, a gourmet kitchen beckons whipping up delicious meals using Tasmania’s super fresh produce. Spacious living and dining areas flow onto the covered outdoor space; the bay view from the balcony makes it a great spot to enjoy drinks and easy BBQ dinners while the tide rolls in. There are so many things we love about this house. One highlight was the garage filled with beach toys, bikes and surfboards for fun-filled days spent between the ocean and sand.
If you’re coming to the Apple Isle on the Spirit of Tasmania, be sure to bring a car. The World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain is not-to-be-missed, and a perfect day trip only two hours drive away. Closer to home is the Rocky Cape National Park with its rich aboriginal history and numerous coastal walks. If the beachfront is as close to nature as you plan on getting, there are plenty of activities nearby to keep everyone entertained. Head to Wynyard for a round of golf by the sea then continue onto Burnie, a vibrant artisan community. A trip to Burnie isn’t complete without sampling the whisky from Hellyers Road Distillery and the creamy delicacies from The Cheese Shop.
Paradise House really is just that. We could go on forever about this incredible getaway, but we’ll let you experience it for yourself.
