Woombah is a peaceful town south of the World Heritage Listed Bundjalung National Park, near Yamba and Iluka. It is a popular stopover on the Sydney-Brisbane route as well as a much-loved holiday destination. The waterways are spectacular (not least for the renowned rock and river fishing) and nature-based adventures abound.
Nestled on a property along the evocatively-named Island View Road in the hamlet of Woombah, this self-contained retreat offers guests a haven of home-like proportions. A spacious terrace leads into a lounge decorated in bright, contemporary themes. A queen bedroom also looks over the terrace and garden. There is a kitchen and a separate dining and sunroom and even a loft bedroom if needed, providing plenty of space for a family, or two couples to share.
Owners of well-behaved dogs can bring their companion and everyone will enjoy the beautiful sub-tropical gardens. Four wheel drivers will want to explore the beaches and when it comes time to discover the marvelous waterways of this region, one option is to engage Leigh – a qualified instructor– for a kite board, stand-up paddle board or surf lesson. To experience the Esk River Paddle route is to be amazed at this wildlife wonderland, along what is the longest coastal river in northern New South Wales.
