No matter if the most strenuous activity on your agenda is moving between the pool and your apartment, or if you want a base to discover the Daintree and the coast, these apartments don’t disappoint.

Take your pick from Mandalay’s assembly of one-, two- or three-bedroom apartments. In true Queensland getaway fashion, all options offer self-catering facilities with a kitted-out kitchen, separate laundry and ample room to spread out and really settle in. There is an ensuite in every master bedroom, and apartments have balconies with comfortable outdoor furniture. Heads up: it’s out here where you’ll have your daily mid-afternoon naps or fruity sundowners.

On Sundays, start your morning by walking five minutes down the road to the Port Douglas markets at ANZAC Park. Wind your way through the stalls selling local art, bric-a-brac and produce. Wander back along Macrossan Street when you’ve picked up a plentiful stash of dried mango and return to your apartment to drop your bags off and change into your bathers. Mandalay has two pools; one has a dedicated lap lane for serious swimmers, and both have a spa. You might decide to forgo a paddle for a hit of tennis, or make the most of the apartment’s proximity to the shore and walk down the track to the beach.

Cancellation policy

All bookings made on Beautiful Accommodation are subject to a cancellation fee of 12.5% (of the total transaction value), in addition to the existing cancellation policy of the property:

If the reservation is cancelled 30 days before the arrival date the deposit will be refunded in full less a $100 administration fee. If however the reservation is cancelled within 30 days of the arrival date then the deposit will be retained unless we are able to re-let the property for the same period. The administration fee covers the cost of processing the booking, receipting the booking and banking the money, cancelling the booking from the system, drawing the refund cheque, mailing the refund cheque with a covering letter and meeting bank charges.
There is no refund for early departures.
