New York isn’t the only destination home to an urban island; the Gold Coast has one too. Chevron Island is a heavenly hamlet located conveniently close to the vibrant heart of Surfers Paradise, but it also boasts a stylish, small community atmosphere that makes it an excellent setting for holidays.

Chevron Oasis sits on the north of the island and comes with dazzling water and cityscape views. The impressive five-bedroom abode has the perfect configuration for hosting a family or visiting groups. Large bedrooms are comfortable and inviting, and both storeys have living areas with TVs (read: no arguments about who has control of the remote controller).

Embrace holiday mode by switching off your smartphone and stowing your tablet away. Instead, read some of the books still on your must-read list, set up a tournament on the pool table or lounge poolside and watch the neighbouring boats zoom by. Guests with their own boat can secure it to the private jetty and head out to discover the waterways surrounding Chevron Island.

Keen to immerse yourself in the buzz of Surfers Paradise? The collection of shops, boutiques, relaxed beachside eateries and glitzy restaurants is only a 15-minute walk away. Time your wander around when the temperature spikes, or hide away during the day and make the journey as the sun begins to fall for dinner by the water. Swing by the Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets (happening every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday night) to browse the stalls selling local crafts, jewellery, artworks and bric-a-brac.

Cancellation policy

All bookings made on Beautiful Accommodation are subject to a cancellation fee of 12.5% (of the total transaction value), in addition to the existing cancellation policy of the property:

If we can re-book your dates for the same rate then we will refund you your deposit less a $100 cancellation fee and credit card fees if you paid by credit card.
