When Raelene Hewitt expanded her collection of blissful Bright escapes (Bright Bliss and Next to Bliss), she waved her interior decorating wand over her latest acquisition, and Bliss Terrace House was born. Think traditional single-fronted terrace, but being a new build, this heritage inspired house is exquisite inside and out.
First, the location. Bliss Terrace House is in the heart of Bright, so it is within walking distance of the river, the brewery and all of Bright’s shops, walking and cycling tracks, cafes and restaurants. If you’re a foodie, Bliss Terrace has two bonuses: it’s an easy stroll to the legendary Simone’s of Bright restaurant, plus it’s next door to Patrizia Simone’s new cooking school. Naturally, Raelene can help with bookings.
Next, the interior decor. Raelene also operates a homewares website (www.brightblissinteriors.com.au) and her stunning French-inspired collection of luxury linens, bed covers and soft furnishings, and bespoke paintings are highlighted throughout the house. Her collection is covetable and if, like us, you love what you see in the house most, things are for sale.
Then there’s the house. There are two spacious bedrooms, a lovely bathroom and a huge open-plan kitchen and living area. This opens onto an undercover side deck and leads to a sun-drenched rear courtyard garden. An added bonus is that children are welcome in this style-lover’s village retreat.
