Harts Lane, Daylesford, VIC

"Harts Lane really stole our HEART!! We were blown away on arrival and continued to be the more we found in the property. It was beautifully styled and designed, industrial yet vintage. We enjoyed every element, from the day bed, to the beanbags, to the fresh bread, oranges, coffee and tea, to the bath, views and cosy fireplace! We were so impressed and will certainly be back." ~ Kate

Yeranda at Barrington Tops, Main Creek, NSW

"We have stayed at Yeranda many times. I discovered this slice of heaven a little over five years ago and find myself needing to return year after year. It's the peace and quiet, a glass of wine enjoyed by the campfire, staring at the stars and feeling miles from anywhere that work their magic on my spirit every time. The hosts have created a beautiful sanctuary and thought of absolutely everything, which makes it so easy for me to do nothing." ~ Daniela

Tottie's Place, Wye River, VIC

"We enjoyed the best holiday we’ve had in ages at Tottie's. Relaxing on the balcony and gazing out at those amazing views was fantastic. The accommodation is beautifully furnished, with absolutely nothing to worry about as everything is provided for you. We simply arrived, relaxed, walked, slept to the sound of the waves, swam and did not want to leave." ~ Elizabeth

Armytage House, Bagdad, TAS

"Absolutely beautiful! We had a lovely three days at Armytage House – the accommodation itself is stunning and cosy, and the fruit laden apple trees, outdoor pizza oven and fireplace give it that extra touch. Hobart was only 30 minutes away, so we were perfectly positioned for day trips. The breakfast provisions were delicious. Loved it and we can't wait to go back." ~ Shalona

The Kilns, Porepunkah, VIC

"We have stayed at 'Chinaman's Kilnhouse' twice and are trying 'Cavedon's Kilnhouse' for the first time in September. For us to return three years running says a lot! Everything you need is here and what's not to love about heated floors? As a foodie I'm in LOVE with the fully equipped kitchen and have to admit I took numerous photos of the amazing utensils drawers! The Kilns is the ultimate destination in its own right, and beautiful Bright and its surrounds are on your doorstep." ~ Lois

Cedar Creek Cottages at Stonehurst Vineyard, Cedar Creek, NSW

"Waking up to watch the mist rise from the valley, we knew we had found the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary! We stayed in the Goldsmith’s Cottage overlooking the Stonehurst Vineyards – nothing equals romance like sipping champagne in the spa or curling up in front of the fire with a view. Enjoying the scrumptious brekkie and estate wine whilst relaxing on the verandah topped off a fantastic stay." ~ Lauren

The Shearing Shed, Grantville, VIC

"What a lovely little place. My wife and I spent a weekend here during winter and came away feeling completely recharged and relaxed. It was so cosy that it was hard to pack up and leave. Fran (the owner) was very helpful and gave us directions to the local hotspots. Probably best to pack yourself some delicious food, a few bottles of wine, a little bit of cheese, a good book and prepare yourself for soaking up the good life. The photos are completely spot on, but fall short of the experience. You'll be hard pressed to find more welcoming accommodation at a price like this." ~ Dan

Max’s Retreat at Redhill Estate, Redhill, VIC

"Have just returned from a fantastic stay at Max's Retreat. There were eight of us and this was the perfect venue to catch up, share bottles of wine, laugh and relax. The accommodation was simply brilliant. The extra little inclusions made our stay comfortable and memorable – the well-equipped pantry, fruit bowl, bread, milk, beautiful L’Occitane soaps and shampoos, the warmth from the fireplace and the welcoming hospitality. I recommend taking up the offer of an in-house private chef – both the restaurant quality food and service made this a lovely experience." ~ Belinda

Arjuna Ridge Retreat, Kettering, TAS

"Make sure you arrive in the daylight; the views are stunning! This B&B is set on a lovely farm with miniature goats and lots of native wildlife. The room is very private and quiet. Continental breakfast provisions include milk, yogurt, lots of teas, a coffee plunger with coffee, cereals and local sourdough bread. There’s organic shampoo, conditioner and body wash. And beautiful linen on the four-poster bed. A dinner tip: we ate at the Italian Restaurant ‘Spectrum’ in the nearby town of Snug, fantastic pizza!" ~ BJ

Ellis House, Daylesford, VIC

"Ellis House is as the pictures suggest, if not better. There is a beautiful surrounding garden, a veggie patch to help yourself to fresh produce, and a quince tree. So many areas in the gardens to sit, relax, chat and eat. The pantry is stocked with more than you would expect, from great varieties of tea to herbs for cooking up a feast. The beds are so comfortable and the heaters work great. Lounge and dining areas were perfect for brekkie and sitting around. There’s a library for reading. Tracie (host) was extremely helpful. Thank you again for an enjoyable weekend." ~ Tracey

Shetland Rest, Glaziers Bay, TAS

"To say that Karen and Geoff (hosts) exceeded our expectations would be an understatement; the property is gorgeous with stunning views, but it’s the sheer generosity of their hospitality that has magnified our very fond memory of Shetland Rest. This kind of attention to detail and overwhelming consideration of guest contentment is seldom found in contemporary, mainstream accommodation. The hosts’ passion for delivering an experience matched to the idyllic surrounds was abundantly evident, from the luxurious bed linen, to the stocked pantry and games for kids, to the home baked bread in the hamper." ~ Ivan

Tarrangower Country House, Guildford, VIC

"Wow – Tarrangower Country House is something very special. The views from the property are amazing, the total tranquility this house offers and the sense of peacefulness from the surroundings make it the perfect getaway. The house itself is utter class – beautiful interiors and everything you need during your stay – the owners really have the guests in mind in so many ways and it is a credit to them. Dip in the pool, relax in the spa or stroll for some lovely fresh air." ~ Johnny

Briars Cottage, Daylesford, VIC

"What a lovely welcome arriving to a warm house with the radio on – a great first impression. Loved the outdoor spa, even when pouring with rain it was perfect. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely come again; in fact we enjoyed it so much we stayed on an extra night. It's private with beautiful, tranquil surroundings, yet close enough to the town centre in Daylesford – I walked up there one afternoon. Will be recommending to our Melbourne friends." ~ Troy & Annabel

Botanica Editions, Healesville, VIC

"Thank you for letting us escape. From the moment we walked in the door it felt like we had stepped in to our own private day spa sanctuary. The smells of the Botanica Editions wash products were such a luxurious touch, the beautiful poems and our very own rosemary plant; all thoughtful little extras that made us feel amazing!!" ~ Nicola

The Queen, Moffat Beach, QLD

"We are a group of girls who thoroughly enjoyed our time at Moffat Beach. It is such a beautiful part of the world. Some of us explored the rocks and headland, some ran on the coastal track, some walked the beach... We relaxed and wondered about the ships that passed and enjoyed the night-lights of the coast and the view from the bedrooms. We laughed outside under the beautiful rear entertainment area. Thanks to host Brioney and her sister as nothing was too much bother." ~ Sue

Peace & Plenty, Dolphin Sands (near Swansea), TAS

"Rarely does a place live up to its name, let alone surpass the pictures! This one does in spades. The accommodation is elegant, the views spectacular and the facilities generous and thoughtful. We loved being able to pop straight out on to the beautiful beach, walk and enjoy the solitude. Even when the weather was foreboding, we could just sit and watch it by the warmth of the open fire – like being on a boat without the movement. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the house well insulated and the kitchen full of everything needed for a foodie's pleasure." ~ M&C

Country Comfort Cottage, Karridale, WA

"This beautiful cottage exceeded our expectations. Spotlessly clean with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Ideal location to explore the southern wineries, caves and beaches yet secluded enough to feel away from it all. The kitchen was well equipped and the garden and birds were delightful. Had we known just how lovely the cottage was we would have stayed here for a week not just two nights." ~ Lauren & David

Black Springs Bakery, Beechworth, VIC

"My husband and I stayed two nights at Black Springs Bakery on a very cold weekend. It was so cosy and beautifully decorated, we almost felt like we were in the French countryside. Extremely well equipped right down to the lovely soaps, hand lotions and yummy fresh bread delivered to the door. We will definitely be back, perhaps in spring when we can enjoy the pretty garden." ~ Jodie

The Ashton Retreat, Adelaide Hills, SA

"We thoroughly enjoyed the environment that this awesome place had to offer... wonderful to get away from the bright city lights and just ‘chill in the moment’. All of the wineries and restaurants that we wanted to visit were only a stones throw away – hard to keep off the roads, as it's always a great sight seeing adventure! The owners presented a fabulously clean and well-stocked retreat, and made sure the fire was cranking before we arrived so the place was nice and warm!" ~ Stan

Villa Mallorca, Mount Martha, VIC

"We had a wonderful time at the exceptional Villa Mallorca. The attention to detail was so impeccable that it really felt we were having a lovely break away on the Spanish Riviera. Our hosts were amazing throughout, from the scrumptious welcome tortilla and Sangria, to the wonderful balance of attentiveness and privacy. I can't wait to try the new Tapas Bar and the fruits of the pizza oven when we have more time." ~ Kevalin

Beachside Retreat West Inlet, Stanley, TAS

"We stayed in the 'Pelican' and could not see or hear the other cabins, and the beach was a short stroll away and mostly deserted. It really felt like we were the only people on the planet at times and was just the kind of break we needed. The cabin was well thought out and simply beautiful. We spent one afternoon-evening sitting on the verandah just watching the ever-changing West Inlet as the sunset over the water... it is just a magical place. I would highly recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a real escape; it was so relaxing we didn't want to leave." ~ Jill

Spicy Oasis, Maleny, QLD

"The cottage we stayed in was just lovely. Great atmosphere and whisper quiet surroundings. Handy to Maleny, Montville, Mapleton and the beautiful Conondale National Park for a picnic or a hike. Irena the owner cannot do enough for you – she even left us homemade chocolates!! We loved it and will be back." ~ Jen & Bruce
