When you add a cordon bleu-trained English chef to a remote outback station, expect a gastronomic adventure with a difference. Lesley- Jane (LJ for short) came to Australia “to see what it was like” and fell in love – with the land and with David Campbell, a lifelong outback station man.
LJ brought her a love of cooking and a real can-do attitude. Choose from in-house homestead rooms or the more modest Shearers Quarters cabins. All meals are provided and you can expect bush-tucker cooking with international flair. Mornings start with a hearty breakfast (extra-special on Sundays), picnic lunches are popular (perfect for exploring the 152,000-acre station), and dinner is an indulgence of wine and food served in the homestead dining room or outside in the Garden Room.
There is so much to do for adults and kids. Take part in sheep work in the yards, walk through acres of wildflowers in season or enjoy a glass of bubbly as the sun sets over Mount Wogarno. LJ hosts special events including Opera in the Outback and the WA Symphony Orchestra in the woolshed. Book well in advance.
