For host Shane Bilston and his family, a love of travel and meeting people led to the idea of operating a B&B. Settling down was hardly a chore – they chose one of the most beautiful places to create their dream Broome home. The Courthouse Bed and Breakfast takes inspiration from the 'Broome style' design of its namesake, the local historic local courthouse, yet offers a very contemporary interpretation, with every modern tropical convienience.
The result is a thoroughly enchanting tropical design that offers a choice of three guest rooms, each individually themed to reflect Broome's culture. We love the Pearling Master's Room, which has a 19th-century feel that is very evocative of Broome's exotic past. You might choose the Oriental Room (with a pebble-tiled bathroom) or perhaps the Broome Room with its courtyard garden. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, the azure pool is a cooling 
magnet for guests and the unique double-roof design wafts the house with cooling breezes.
Its location in the heart of Broome means you will not need a car. Walk to galleries, pearl emporiums, the markets or wander to an al fresco restaurant for dinner. Many tours will pick up from the door but it might take quite a bit to persuade you to venture too far from this paradise.
