As ever, perfect position helps. The boutique hotel commands a site near the centre of town, fronting the Moyne River port (peak hour is when the fishing and sailing boats return home). Even choosing your room is a treat … a peaceful inner courtyard, perhaps, or absolute river frontage' Our favourite is the grand Courtyard Suite (with its own separate lounge), but next time the new Spa Room's huge tub looks very tempting.
The decor – all French provincial in whites and neutral tones – creates a tranquil mood, ideal for relaxing in the elegant guest lounge or as a comforting refuge after a day of exploring.
