Moonlight Retreat is as romantic a getaway as the name suggests, set on a commanding coastal ridge amid eucalypt bush and farmland with a glorious evening view of the sun setting behind the Twelve Apostles. Here you are within panoramic sight and easy reach by car of Victoria's most visited and photographed coastline of sheer sandstone cliffs, towering islets and hidden inlets. The Great Ocean Walk passes the property, and the Gable lookout and Wreck Beach are nearby.
But there is no roughing it here like the early settlers did. Guests may choose an exceptionally spacious and luxuriously furnished five-star cottage or, if they prefer to arise to a fully cooked breakfast, one of the in-house suites. After a day's exploring the fabulous coast, why not soak in your above-ground spa (big enough for four) or, if staying in-house, enjoy afternoon tea in the living-dining room'
