That's the picturesque setting within sight of the sea of this pioneering holiday retreat for couples, families or groups of friends – and even pets. It's pioneering in the sense that the Evans family settled and farmed this 260-hectare property for a century before Joy Evans changed its focus in 1985, making it a multi-award-winning getaway.
Luxuriate in a Great Ocean Road holiday in the rambling old farmhouse (which sleeps up to 10) or in one of the modern cottages, all stylishly furnished, thoughtfully equipped and completely private. Guests may collect fresh eggs from the chicken house (a great experience for city kids) or gather seasonal fruits and vegetables from the garden.
 If that sounds like too much hard work, ready-to-eat or heat meals can be ordered in advance. And don't worry if it's too cold to swim at the beach – there's an indoor heated pool open year-round.
