If the name isn't a strong clue, then believe us that Svarmisk gets much inspiration from the Scandinavian model of intelligent design, elegant structures and warm interiors. St Kilda architect Grant Amon took on the task for owners Lena (she's Swedish) and Andy (from Falls Creek) and the result is these dazzling eco-friendly apartment settings.
The six apartments offer accommodation for couples, friends, families and large groups, with a layout that is uncluttered but friendly. An open fireplace in the living area is part-way up the wall (like watching a mesmerising TV), the stainless steel kitchen is fully equipped, and there's a hot tub on the balcony with uninterrupted views across valleys and mountains.
Plenty more is planned for Svarmisk, with an indulgent spa facility, cafe and more  rooms on the drawing board. Designed for those who love the outdoor life, this is an innovative and welcome addition to Mount Beauty's landscape.
