Moyhu is a cute little town right in the heart of the King Valley with its burgeoning wine, food and produce scene. All those themes are captured in the Moyhu Wine Company with its two charming cottages, delightful winery, café and gourmet boutique (located in the town's old butter factory 100 metres from the banks of the King River, one kilometre out of town).
She Oak Cottage was actually once two workers' cottages, now joined together to form a spacious whole. The three bedrooms, two bathrooms, separate lounge, dining room and huge kitchen have been cleverly and brightly decorated, and the modern ambience sits well with older style features such as the wood fire and golden floorboards. Winemaker's Cottage is equally inviting with its views across paddocks and bushland, colourful decorative touches, big kitchen and two lovely bedrooms.
Both cottages are in the grounds of the winery yet well separated, and there's so much to explore in the district you can be busy all day, or as relaxed as you like. Stock up on local goodies, some of the winery's own Koala Creek wine and enjoy a delicious meal inside your cottage or out on the verandah.
