These extraordinary suites would be news enough in themselves for their colourful style, fabulous outdoor spas and showers, and secluded location on the southern tip of the Peninsula near the beach and bush. But the bonus is the owners – dedicated foodies only too willing to provide a brilliant gourmet experience to guests.
Paul is a chef who has worked around the world from Africa to Greece, and with Lisa runs a successful catering company. For Big Blue guests that means the big central kitchen (in the ‘main house') produces gourmet dinners to be enjoyed on your deck and a brekkie platter immodestly (but accurately) dubbed ‘the best breakfast on the peninsula'.
The hideaway suites are stunning creations, each with soaring curved timber ceilings,  clever carvings and individual African and beachside themes. The former has vibrant African colours, the latter a more muted and cooling theme. In either you get plenty of space and warmth, laugh-out-loud decorative touches and a natural connection to the outdoors. Whichever you choose, tranquillity, romance and great food are all on the menu.
