If you have your own boat (or don't mind hiring one), The Moorings has a hugely attractive waterside location, with access to the full network of Gippsland's lake system. But don't feel left out if you're a land-lubber; The Moorings sensationally spacious apartments and rooms, its location right in the heart of Metung and the dreamy water views are more than enough reason to keep your feet on terra firma.
The resort has a huge array of facilities, including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, a cracking BBQ area overlooking Bancroft Bay, and a conference room for business. There are even cruises available on The Director (a 12-metre motorised catamaran) for the boatless. Metung's many restaurants are nearby, and those of Lakes Entrance or Bairnsdale are not much further afield.
The apartments have a seaside feel about them mainly because all have water views and breezy outdoor areas, but also for their bright colours and fresh designs.
