Travellers to Melbourne don't have to put up with the cramped quarters of a stuffy hotel room or do without the comforts of home when the gorgeous Sweeny Cottage is an option. This lovely cottage is close to the city, luxuriously renovated and has all the space that holidaymakers or business travellers may need.
Located in the heart of Albert Park (just off the very desirable St Vincent Place and close to fashionable Bridport Street village), the two storey house has been renovated to maintain its period exterior, but inside the ambience is one of cool modernity, with timber finishes and white paintwork offsetting deliciously rich hues.
With two upstairs bedrooms there's plenty of room for four people to sleep and move. Downstairs, there's a hip lounge room  with open gas fireplace (and big plasma TV), and a light-filled kitchen and dining area opening onto a courtyard garden with its own barbecue. The many thoughtful details really set Sweeny Cottage apart – we love the original artwork and choice of pillows.
