Normally you have to be a Melbourne insider to know where the bayside locations with great views are hidden. Fortunately, Brockmares makes the process easy because each of its three suites looks over a marine sanctuary to the bay, or across the adjacent Jawbone Reserve. And it's all about 15 minutes from central Melbourne in the beautiful waterside hamlet of Williamstown.
This impressively large and lavishly outfitted boutique B&B is the lovechild of Mary and John Barron. The attention to detail is complete, with niceties such as panoramic balconies, a gym, bathrobes and bubbly on arrival all included. John can even bargain with local fishermen for their daily catch and serve up a seafood feast.
The Bayview suite is simply enormous and comes with its own library, spa bath and a bay window to enjoy the views. The Seascape room provides ceiling windows for a spot of star gazing and the Balcony room adds a peaceful outdoor element. Friendly,  welcoming, modern and very comfortable, this is a fine taste of bayside hospitality.
