And yet it's only a short walk or a quick tram ride into town. It's the kind of charming, beautifully appointed inner-city terrace house that Melburnians relish and it could be all yours – for a while, at least.
The cottage's iron-laced verandah shelters a lovingly renovated and decorated interior. Two bedrooms are decked out in cool linens, the contemporary kitchen has everything you need and there's an outside courtyard to enjoy the breakfast and gourmet snack provisions. If Melbourne's renowned warming sunshine proves too much, there's a dining area indoors as well.
