This character-filled, verandah-clad homestead is an 1870s marvel, offering two distinct accommodation experiences. Guests may choose between staying in the house (enjoying the heritage atmosphere yet thoroughly modern facilities) or the bluestone barn that has been transformed into a romantic getaway for couples.
In-house, the Fountainview Room and Rosebank Suite offer space and old-world elegance, with the former being particularly enticing for its ensuite with windows above the bath for star gazing. In front of the lounge's open fire is a great place to relax. After a relaxing sleep-in, enjoy a sumptuous breakfast – the ‘featherbed eggs' (a kind of savoury soufflé) are a weekend specialty.
The barn was once a shearing shed and has been transformed into a romantic cloister for couples, with polished timber floors, bluestone walls and a deck outside to enjoy the view. Explore the property and  local wine and food trails, gather a picnic and head to Hanging Rock or dine in nearby Kyneton, but most of all luxuriate in Tilwinda's warming welcome.
