This eco-friendly cottage is named for the mob of roos that arrives at dusk and dawn (with a little Australian word play thrown in). It has been purpose-built as a retreat for busy adults, sleeping two couples between the style and warmth of its rammed-earth walls. Beyond the roos are inspiring views of craggy Mount Difficult and the Wartook Valley.
The huge central living room is a wonderful place to relax, with its wood heater and stone hearth encircled by deep leather armchairs (bring some good red wine). The kitchen is well equipped for budding cooks, or there's a barbecue outside and a courtyard or terrace to take in the views of the countryside – shared, of course, with the kangaroos.
 Whitewashed walls, wooden beams and oriental rugs on pebbled floors give it the feel of a gorgeous hacienda that fits in total sympathy with its Australian surrounds. Quiet entertainment is offered by the library of books, CDs and DVDs. Nearby, the Grampians National Park beckons those keen to see the sights. This enticing cottage is a place purely for rest, dreams, blissful sleep and good times with friends.
