If luxury houseboats like these had existed when Mark Twain navigated the Murray in the late 1800s he may never have returned to the Mississippi. Fortunately you can discover your inner Huckleberry Finn in stylish comfort when you board one of these stunning floating homes. The prides of the fleet are Luxury 4 and 5. With their modish fit out and chic styling, staying onboard is more like staying in an upmarket hotel. Both are perfect for groups and families, with four or five bedrooms that can sleep up to 10 passengers. Each ensuite cabin is very spacious and hosts a king-size bed (which zips apart to make two king singles), designer linen and an LCD television with in-house channels. Sliding doors from the bedrooms open fully to ensure all crew members get a full river view.
 A funky gourmet kitchen, lounge areas and a rooftop hot tub complete these extravagant showpieces. Other luxury houseboats are available at fantastic rates but book early and always check for stowaways.
