This beautifully proportioned Italianate villa was built by Swiss wine-grower Count Fabrizzio Crippa back in 1864, and funnily enough, despite the intervening years, the good count would have no trouble recognising Villa Parma's virtually unaltered exterior. Inside, however, he might be in for a pleasant shock: while the polished floorboards and the patina of 19th century paintwork remain in places, the rest has been stylishly upgraded to 21st century chic.
This is a fabulous place for a group of up to eight friends to have a great time in Hepburn Springs and Daylesford. Villa Parma is set in the grounds of Peppers Springs Retreat with its DECO restaurant, bar and Mineral Spa all available, but the villa's four bedrooms, living areas, kitchen and magnificent topiary garden offer a different kind of escape. The décor is sumptuous and elegant, with colourful bathrooms, Italian cobblestone tiles, European appliances and plenty of original touches.
 The mix of history and contemporary luxury makes Villa Parma indulgent and utterly irresistible.
