Azidene House dates back to the late 19th century, but nowadays it's a luxurious spa retreat for restful regeneration – as the verdant enfolding garden aptly symbolises. Here guests have a choice of accommodation between inhouse B&B suites and newer, more spacious spa apartments with private entrances.
The eclectic artistic instincts of hosts Darren and Shane are reflected in their restoration of the house, with such features as hand-blown skylight glass and massive leather couches in the main living room that opens to a balcony with glimpses of Lake Daylesford. In-house guests get to enjoy a private spa room, indulge in a three course breakfast in the dining room and relax in the separate guest lounge.
But if you want absolute privacy and huge spas (we do mean HUGE), then choose either  Linton apartment with its quiet rustic appeal or Azidene apartment with its old-world charm enhanced by a private courtyard garden and verandah with lake views. Memorable – whatever you choose.
