This beautiful building of three separate apartments started life back in the 1870s as stables, which were hand built from sandstone quarried on the property. It means that Byronsvale doesn't so much blend in with its bushland setting as belong to it, making the lush tones of rock and timber a perfect backdrop to the vineyard on which it is situated.
Some 140 years down the track the renovations by Pat and David Andrew have resulted in a sympathetic blend of the old and new. Byrons Loft is the largest of the apartments, featuring a downstairs living/dining area and upstairs queen-size bedroom and another with two singles, both with views over the vines.
The Clydesdale and Heathersett apartments each have one queen-size bedroom plus a  living area and cooking facilities, with the former featuring its own verandah and garden, the latter panoramic views. The beauty of Byronsvale is that groups of up to eight who want an exclusive getaway can take the entire property, but couples will be equally charmed by the tranquillity. It makes for a perfect retreat after a day exploring the wineries and historic towns of the Goldfields.
