When the Geelong Football Cub is playing a home game nearby, this place is usually filled with fanatical out-of-town Cats supporters (they know where to stay). But at other times this classic Victorian-style cottage welcomes up to three couples visiting Geelong for business or as a base for holidays on the Bellarine Peninsula. It rests in a quiet, tree-lined street near the city centre.
Eight Bourke is spotlessly clean, superbly presented and self-contained – so you have it to yourself. But Pauline is there to greet you on arrival, make sure you have everything you need and advise on things to see and do. Geelong abounds with restaurants, cafes, pubs and gourmet food shops, so there's no problem finding something to eat.
Geelong is the gateway to the tourist magnets of the Bellarine and the Great Ocean  Road, but it also has plenty of its own attractions. The revitalised waterfront, historic Botanic Gardens, Barwon riverside parks and wetlands, Wool Museum, Old Geelong Gaol, and Naval and Maritime Museum should not be missed … then there are the vibrant shopping precincts.
