The exclusive guest retreat is essentially open plan and features everything needed for a relaxing getaway. Picture windows offer views of the garden by day or night (when the grounds are dramatically lit), the bed is king size and the ensuite is one of the grandest we have ever seen. It features a double granite shower and a double therapeutic spa – you can even see the plasma TV and the fireplace from the spa. If swimming in the award-winning 12-metre heated pool or playing tennis sounds too energetic, it's nice to know that you can always snuggle up in front of the wood fire.
The broad sweep of the popular Ocean Grove surf beach is only three minutes away from this secluded retreat, which has deservedly won the only five-star rating on the Bellarine. Dining out is no problem, either – Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads over the iconic wooden bridge and Queenscliff a little farther away offer plenty of choices.
