Take your pick from the differing sites and styles while being assured of finding a perfect blend of old-world charm, period furniture and modern comforts. To ensure privacy, the owners only let the houses to one couple, family or group at a time.
Whichever you choose, you'll be greeted by fresh flowers in the rooms, log fires for cold nights and breakfast makings for the first morning. Ravenswood sits in a huge, long established garden just around the corner from historic Lydiard Street. Wilton House is a  solid brick survivor of the gold-rush era with lead-light windows, pressed-metal ceilings and a large bathroom with a claw-foot iron tub. Then there's the elegant gentleman's residence of Kingsley Place on a heritage-classified streetscape.
