Rising before you is a four-storey Georgian building flanking guest cottages and a soaring red-brick chimney in rose gardens set against spectacular country and mountains. Its colourful history is reflected in such original features as the metre-thick stone walls, pit-sawn timber beams, French grinding stone and log fires.
And then relax in the heritage charm and hospitality Bowerbank Mill now offers as an all-seasons B&B and Fine Art gallery. The main building and the two double-storey cottages are tastefully furnished, combining colonial and European antiques, rugs and paintings – and all the modern cosseting and comfort that guests expect.
