Built by convicts in 1829 and listed by the National Trust, this grand Georgian-style mansion was once the home of a Tasmanian premier. Still prominent on its enviably situated corner location, it now is one of the oldest buildings in Hobart to offer accommodation.
The impressive staircase, stately drawing room, antique furniture and works of art recall a more gracious era as Tasmania slowly developed from its penal origins.
