If you've come a long way to Binalong Bay, you'll be so glad you did. Here, just north of the picturesque fishing port of St Helens, are some of Tasmania's finest beaches and most spectacular coastlines – including the magnificent Bay of Fires coastal reserve, where red granite rocks rise above the unspoiled white sands and blue sea.
And Villa Vista is no ordinary beach house either – it's beautifully sited, clean-cut, modern, big enough for two or three couples to share, but perfectly indulgent for one or two people who want to be by themselves in a glorious seaside environment. The full-length windows and glass doors of the spacious upstairs living/dining room and a sunny balcony look out over a bright blue-green ocean – and you are only a two-minute walk from the white sands of a sweeping beach.
Vouchers are provided for breakfast at the acclaimed Angasi restaurant in the village or they may be used towards lunch or dinner to sample some of Tasmania's best oysters and seafood. We suggest chartering a fishing boat at St Helens and barbecuing your catch back at Villa Vista. Location: 155km or 13/4 hours east of Launceston; 260km or three hours northeast of Hobart.
