Guests arriving at Mt Paul can feel they have found their own 1200-acre national park, such is the abundance of wildlife including wallabies, wombats and even Tasmanian devils. Then there are the stunning views of the Hazards and Great Oyster Bay across the Freycinet Peninsula. But the real surprise comes with the two guest lodges that place modern comfort and design in sympathetic harmony with the surrounding bush.

The lodges were co-designed with architecture students to be fully sustainable, providing guests with a carbon-neutral stay. Utterly inspiring - and it gets even better when you factor in the vast comfort afforded by king-size beds, expansive deck spaces and inspired kitchens with granite surfaces and Euro appliances.

Mt Paul on Freycinet - Coles Bay (Freycinet Peninsula) , Tasmania AccommodationThe interiors are adorned with natural colours and timbers, highlighted by artwork that reflects Freycinet's vibrant palette and framed by big glazed windows that take in the view. Mt Paul's triumph is to work with nature; yours is to enjoy it.
