As its name suggests, Edge of the Bay has a prime position on Coles Bay – a maritime wonder of crystal-clear blue water fringed by pristine coastal bushland. The view from Edge of the Bay expands beyond the Freycinet Peninsula to the craggy Hazards and a huge expanse of sky overhead. There is no more compelling location to experience the full glory of Freycinet.
The resort gives its guests every opportunity to take in the view, especially from the spacious, contemporary waterfront suites with their chic minimalist style and private decks. Traditional Tasmanian cottages provide a pleasant option for families. All have direct access to the beach and guests are welcome to try the resort's many activities: fishing, cycling or tennis to name just a few.
Meals are an event played out before The Edge restaurant's wall of glass. Specialities of the restaurant include succulent local seafood dishes – the local Freycinet oysters are not to be missed.
