The Clare Valley Accommodation
The Clare Valley is also justly famous for its wine. But wine is just one part of the mosaic of experiences awaiting travellers to this rich valley. Lovers of historic architecture will want to visit Auburn's St Vincent Street, which is the start of the famed Riesling Trail. Walk or bike this 25km trail through the heart of the Clare Valley. As you weave your way through the valley, towns such as Leasingham, Watervale and Penwortham have cellar doors that beckon you to discover them. In the Skilly Hills, don't miss lunch at Skillogalee Winery and the chance to taste some world-class wines. A short detour to historic Mintaro (which was settled in 1842) makes an interesting half-day trip.
