A secluded bay of limpid sapphire waters, fringed with swaying palms, carpeted in warm sand … a place where lovers of all ages can get away from all the distractions of the modern world. It's not a dream – it's Peppers Palm Bay on Long Island. Here you have the South Sea island ambience with all the comfort and service that comes with a Peppers' experience.
The word ‘retreat' does not do justice to the intimate and exclusive atmosphere of Peppers Palm Bay, although you do get all the resort trimmings of fine dining, a massive saltwater pool, cocktails before dinner in the beachfront hut, and an endota spa. But the feel is more like a small village comprised of elegantly luxurious beach-front bungalows, bures and cabins deliberately devoid of blaring TVs.
If you must stir, order yourselves a gourmet hamper and head off by seaplane or speedboat to explore the wonders of the island or the Great Barrier Reef. Or you can lazily snorkel the lagoon, hit balls over the  tennis court net or order another icy cold daiquiri to your poolside banana chair. Exquisite.
