This year we've bent the rules a little to mention the Synergy Reef Sailing luxury reef cruise. Why' Because we had such an extravagant experience that we consider it a must for anyone holidaying in gorgeous Port Douglas. And with so many sailing trips on offer, we thought you should know which one to pick.
Synergy II is a large, impressive catamaran but tours are intimate with just 12 passengers aboard. Private charters are available with customised itineraries. As you sail to the Great Barrier Reef, delicious pastries are served for morning tea, followed by a gourmet barbecue lunch on deck and a scrumptious afternoon tea. At the reef you will be given snorkelling equipment and expert advice to ensure you don't miss any of the remarkable marine life.
Relax and let the friendly crew pander to your every need or, for a bit of hands-on  boating, ask the experienced skipper if you can take the helm and feel like a true sailor of the high seas. No wonder guests rave about the Synergy experience with comments such as “Thanks for a fantastic day out on the Reef, it really was the best day of the holiday”. We entirely agree.
