If position is everything, Reflections of Port Douglas's elegant serviced apartments have it all: right on popular Macrossan Street, near the pure sands of Four Mile Beach. There are just eight boutique apartments, giving Reflections an intimate, exclusive ambience. Two wonderful hosts, John and Carmel, exude hospitality and will go to great lengths to ensure that your stay is carefree. Nothing is too much trouble and their local knowledge is invaluable.
The apartments are generously designed, with two deluxe bathrooms plus a full kitchen. Indoor and outdoor living meld easily when the lounge room is opened to a private entertainment patio. Two large penthouse apartments have stunning Coral Sea views and apartments on the ground floor enjoy private use of the tropical gardens.
We love the heavenly freshwater pool with its cascading waterfall and kids can play for hours in the shaded wading pool. At sunset, wander over to the marina to watch the gleaming boats anchor after a day of fishing – then savour some of the catch at one of Port Douglas's many fine restaurants.
