If you and your partner need to re-energise your relationship with some tropical bliss therapy, we have a place for you: Cottages on the Creek. The creek is Currumbin, a winding cascade of swimming holes and the secret splashes of the local platypi. There is something magical-mystical about this rainforested valley, which echoes with the sounds of birds and whispering winds.
The cottages front an emerald garden of palms and trees, which are best viewed from the verandahs (fitted with charming Mexican fireplaces to keep away the evening cool). Inside is everything you need for a totally self-catered stay, with a kitchen, cosy bedroom and double spa. This is a setting for barefoot romantics, right down to the paired hammocks slung between the palms. And in this temple of nature, what better option than to indulge in an Hawaiian temple-style massage to truly unwind'
But the best part is the location, within 30 minutes of Coolangatta, Murwillumbah and  the Mt Cougal National Park. So you can surf, shop, swim, go for horse rides, bush walk – but only if you want to leave the secluded oasis of Cottages on the Creek.
