Dating back to the early 1900s, heritage-listed Wiss House was built by the Wiss family - German immigrants who were also responsible for the impressive Wiss Emporium in the town centre. Lovingly restored to its former glory with period paint finishes and timber highlights, each room at Wiss House features handcrafted furniture from the original owners and extra-comfortable beds. The broad verandahs are just the place to pass a lazy afternoon soaking up the views of southern Queensland's majestic Scenic Rim ranges and Fassifern Valley.
The dining room is ravishing, a perfect setting for a group of friends to indulge in a sumptuous meal prepared by the in-house chef – surely the highpoint of any weekend indulgence. But if a good sleep, a beautiful  meal and picturesque views are not enough to help you unwind then Sara, your consummate host, can organise a massage for you. Wiss House is a very romantic property and is the perfect place to kick off your city shoes and slip into something more comfortable.
