Hobart’s waterfront is justifiably famous. The picturesque Constitution Dock area is filled with superb heritage architecture, all sorts of old and new watercraft, and a range of seafood shops and restaurants. There is also the Salamanca Market at one end and the fi nish line of the annual Sydney to Hobart yacht race at the other.Among this history sits the waterfront Zero Davey with its ultra-hip and incredibly sexy contemporary architecture. If you want unashamedly modern, boldly colourful accommodation and staff to help you make the most of your stay, this is the place for you. With its range of superb deluxe studios and apartments (from one to three bedrooms), there is something here to suit business people and travellers alike who are seeking a central location with everything at their doorstep, including the CBD.
Zero Davey’s facilities are in keeping with its groovy design, with kitchens, laundry facilities, plasma TVs and WiFi in every room. The penthouse suite takes luxe to another level with an enormous square bath, hot pink colours and even a baby grand piano to serenade passing boats. Our favourite rooms are defi nitely those with a water view, but other rooms don’t miss out – just tune the TV to an image of the outside harbour view.
