Sometimes we just stumble across a hidden treasure, one that blends historic style and rural seclusion in a region replete with the spoils of the table. Waverley Estate is one such find, an 1850s home set on four acres of garden dotted with petit verdot vines and a charming collection of cottages and stables.Couples are always welcome but Waverley really excels when a group of up to 21 take the whole property (and all her beguiling charms and comforts) to themselves. In the main house there are two bedrooms and the gorgeous cottage, stable and attic suites (all with ensuites) make for plenty of eclectic choices. Groups can
gather in the courtyard garden for long lunches or by the fire in the main house's lounge and dining room. Here, deep sofas and Tuscan and French Provincial interiors meld with Danish art.
Almost any whim can be catered for (including a private chef) and weddings are welcomed. The idea is to move in with friends, bring your tennis racket, swimmers, gourmet goodies and wine, and celebrate your special occasion.

One estate: seven guest rooms (two in main house with two bathrooms, five in stable, loft and suites each with ensuite) accommodating up to 21. Main house with lounge/dining, full kitchen. Solar heated pool, tennis court, fire pit, BBQ and petanque. Selfcatering, catering and chef available.
