If you want to replace city lights with starry nights, Waterfront Retreat at Wattle Point will fit the bill. The sunsets and sunrises off the jetty are amazing and on a clear night, the Milky Way lights up the night sky.This is the best of nature-based, waterfront accommodation with a fabulous range of cedar lodges spread over 20 acres of banksia, wattle and eucalypt forest. Couples will love the spacious split-level spa suites. Families and friends will find the two-bedroom cottages quite indulgent (the master suite has its own living and kitchen area), while the two-storey lodges feature an upstairs bedroom with two walls of windows – perfect for star-gazing.
The retreat also has an indoor heated pool for when swimming in the lake is just a tad too cold, as well as an outdoor mineral spa and a tennis court. Make use of the free bikes and kayaks to explore or, better still, bring your own boat to launch off the jetty.
Echidnas, pelicans and sea eagles are seen regularly. If you whistle, you will be joined by rosellas and kangaroos wanting their share of the action. The experience of handfeeding visiting kangaroos the provided seed in the front of your lodge is priceless.

Loved this place, friendly and helpful staff, the kangaroos are awesome and the area just beautiful. Just wished the couches were a little bigger, other wise accomodation 10 out of 10.!
