Charles Street is a foodie hub of Launceston, with inviting cafes, highly rated restaurants, a patisserie and greengrocer sprinkled along this quirky shopping strip. Add a cafe at your front door and it is easy to see why TWOFOURTWO is such a sought-after base for holiday and business travel. Its ultra-chic, historic and beautifully equipped apartments provide all you need for a great stay.We also think these retreats have two unfair advantages: owner Alan Livermore is a fine timber furniture maker and also designed the renovations, while partner Katie has a wonderful eye for interior design and has impeccable taste.
We love that wherever possible, Tasmanian products are used, from work by local artists and craftspeople to the brekkie provisions and red apples left on your pillow. Add Gaggia coffee machines, magazines, iPod docks with music choices and a pillow menu, and the result is three luxurious and enticing apartments for two or four people.
New to the mix is Number 10, a two-bedroom townhouse just around the corner that looks cute and colonial from the outside but exudes typical TWOFOURTWO contemporary glam on this inside. Be warned: a short-term stay could morph into a longer one.
TWOFOURTWO Boutique Apartments offer four self catering apartments named The Studio, The Terrace, The Bakehouse and Number 10 Townhouse. All feature king size beds, contemporary bathrooms, a pillow menu, DVD library, Gaggia coffee machines with fresh coffee pods, state of the art kitchens and generous breakfast provisions. A maxi bar featuring a range of iconic Tasmanian cool-climate wines is offered in each apartment. Free wireless internet and parking are available, plus access to a guest laundry, private courtyards and BBQ facilities.
TWOFOURTWO Boutique Apartments are nestled in the heart of cosmopolitan Charles Street, within the thriving precinct of cafes, restaurants, a French patisserie, delicatessen, green grocer stocking a fabulous range of Tasmanian organic produce and a local butcher just around the corner. Make your way into Launceston's city centre with a gentle stroll through historic Princes Square reaching the city centre in 10 minutes.
TWOFOURTWO Boutique Apartments showcase local art and are furnished by nationally awarded contemporary furniture designer, Alan Livermore. Rates include fresh breakfast provisions or breakfast can be enjoyed from an all day breakfast menu offered by Café Mondello which now graces the TWOFOURTWO site. As a treat Café Mondello will deliver your breakfast to your apartment.

Absolutely gorgeous - my favourite place to stay in Launnie! Twofourtwo has those extra little touches - like the apples on the pillows, boiled lolly treats, dvd & magazine library, fluffy rugs & cushions in the lounge, & to die for homemade bickies to
snack on....not to mention the scrumptious brekkie provisions & gorgeous coffee, all to be enjoyed in the privacy of your own apartment (or gorgeous courtyard if you pick the 'Bakehouse' apartment). Central, modern funky B&B with all the privacy you need -
