This is an extraordinary estate. We were blown away by its sheer luxury, lush French provincial décor, stunning gardens and its sense of exclusivity, privacy and space. Set within a seven-acre vineyard, photos barely do Tussie Mussie justice.The main Vineyard Lodge is the property’s centre piece, with four big bedrooms. Each has a private courtyard and beautiful ensuite, while one has its own private lounge. There is a fabulous kitchen and huge living and dining space (we love the fi rewood wall feature). It is a cook’s heaven and you can choose between dining inside or outside under a huge tree with a candle-lit chandelier overlooking the vines. There is also the outdoor Dining Folly with a view of the Rose Garden stretching down the valley. The dining locations continue with the “Pizza Hut”, which has an outdoor pizza oven, and also the front terrace. For the ultimate indulgence, you can even hire a chef to take over the Vineyard Kitchen and Dining Room.
The other two accommodation options are also fantastic. The Old Laundry oozes romance for a couple, with its beautifully furnished suite and fabulous outdoor area. Two couples travelling together will love The Owners Cottage. But for larger groups, book the entire property, and enjoy the experience of having your own private vineyard at this dreamy Mornington Peninsula retreat.
