The Buckland Valley is a hidden gem in Victoria’s High Country – an incredibly picturesque sweeping valley surrounded by mountains only 15 minutes from Bright. And if you want a romantic, luxurious and stylish retreat to take in those incredible views, The Buckland is for you.
Each of the five architect-designed, eco-chalets are set against a tree-lined backdrop and feature spectacular valley vistas that change with the seasons. Winter features snow-topped Mount Buffalo before you, while in autumn, the valley comes alive with a kaleidoscope of changing colours. The sunsets and sunrises provide a year-round spectacle.
The chalets are secluded and have plenty of luxurious space designed for couples. We love the king bed, the shower for two (with views to the surrounding bush) and the Saeco espresso machine. There are also plenty of spots to unwind here. Enjoy a local bottle of wine from your mini-bar on the front barbecue deck (with its amazing valley views), the side deck, the bedroom deck, in front of the wood fi re or inside in the cosy dining nook.
And did we mention the sensational breakfasts? The Buckland combines the indulgence of having your own private chalet with the pampering of being served a hearty country-style breakfast in the separate lounge. Perfectly indulgent.
