Port Douglas is the quintessential north Queensland harbour town but with none of the fuss and hurry of bigger places along the coast. The White House Holiday Apartments fit in perfectly here, with their breezy plantation mansion style of shady verandahs and tropical gardens. As you laze on a banana lounge by the landscaped pool with a cold beer in your cooler, you soon see why people love the climate up here.There are nine fully self-contained apartments in this quiet, superbly maintained property. These are not cookie-cutter units; there is a full range of bedroom and layout options including a funky two-level apartment. The interior style continues the tropical theme with very comfy furniture, cooling tiles underfoot and fans overhead. The undercover entertainment area and barbecue are ideal for outside living, and even better for avoiding mess in the kitchen.
The White House apartments are tucked a block away from the main Port Douglas food and shopping precinct of Macrossan Street, providing easy access but a hushed evening quiet. Four Mile Beach is a short stroll from the apartments, through a small park.
