Hosts Jane and Leeroy’s love affair with each other and provincial France began many years ago. Their time spent cycling through the countryside has paid off with wonderful style and panache at The Spotted Chook and Amelie’s. And perhaps that is why they have come to specialise in intimate wedding parties of fewer than 50 guests. Love is in the air here.The sensual experience of a French country inn pervades every corner, from the vases of fresh roses to the frankly glamorous use of colour in each guest room (the Snowpea could have inspired van Gogh during his Arles period). The four rooms in The Spotted Chook guesthouse are immaculately presented and each has its own discrete charm including big, deep baths and private verandahs. The separate cottage, Amelie’s, is a decadent treat that might have been designed just for you and your amour.
Food is never far from French thoughts. As part of this experience, pre-book a dinner featuring a French-Australian fusion. This is gourmet cuisine served with passion. Magnifique!
