Beautiful gardens are a dime a dozen but truly glorious ones are rare jewels, which makes Al-Ru Gardens so worthwhile in any season. This is horticultural achievement of the highest order, yet it was created by Ruth and Alan Irving from bare paddocks. In Spring, the Open Garden Scheme draws visitors to enjoy the 1000 roses rising above swathes of perennials and Monetlike reflections in the shimmering lake.Guests discover their own magic in these gardens. Some couples find enchantment in the sculptured European garden pavilion, where antiques and a formal garden outlook provide a refined and peaceful aspect. Others gather friends and take the in-house, two-bedroom tower suite and have Ruth cater a dinner party. Then there are the brides, who choose to celebrate their unions with stunning garden photos, a marquee by the lake and their first night in pastoral bliss.
There is a superb 15-meter heated pool, a steam room and a gym for the health conscious. And One Tree Hill's location makes touring the Hills, the Barossa, McLaren Vale, Adelaide or
the beaches too easy.

One self-contained pavilion (open fire, bathroom, full kitchen, heating, AC). In-house, two-bedroom suite. Heated pool, steam room and gym. Full breakfast provisions in pavilion, full breakfast served in-house, dinner by prior arrangement.
