In this pocket of rolling hills next to the Wirrabara State Forest a handful of families have farmed for more than 100 years. Paul and Denise Kretschmer purchased their farm and set about biodynamically restoring its productivity. It is now a certified ‘Demeter' farm that has become a veritable cornucopia of peaches, plums, apricots, nectarines, quince, apples and persimmons. The delectable result is a rich range of jams, dried fruits and other delicacies.Of course, the farm comes with a cast of extras including chickens (which means fresh eggs for breakfast), romping friendly farm dogs and the country hospitality of Denise, Paul and their family. This is a working farm and guests can chat about farming and get a feel for life on the land.
There are two cottages here; both are very family-friendly and toasty warm with wood fires in winter. Each overlooks the farm and the Wirrabara Forest (a big attraction in itself for walks and cycling) and the pace here is safe and relaxed. At night the sky is burnished with constellations and the days are filled with fresh air and sunshine.

Two cottages, each with two bedrooms (queen, double, bunk), lounge (wood fire, TV, DVD, CD with library), dining and full kitchen. Deck (BBQ), laundry. Fan, evaporative cooler. Self-catering, breakfast and dinner provisions available.
