Let your feet wander the sparkling tiles, sample some of the L’Occitane toiletries to freshen up, and picture yourself soaking in that huge claw-foot bath.
The 1903 house has been restored to more than its original glory. It sympathetically combines the classic architectural motifs of Federation Australia - wide verandahs, grandly spacious rooms, high ceilings - with every modern comfort. A huge gourmet kitchen provides for the formal dining table, which just begs to be set with some local wine and a roast of beef. The bedrooms are a dreamy melange of chocolate and cream with windows that gaze across the home’s half acre of English gardens.
Tenterfield is a great town. The real founding site of Australian Federation brims with historic buildings and the local district is rapidly becoming one of New South Wales’ most interesting (and least explored) wine regions.
